Arenas Restaurant offers all-day dining in both indoor, air-conditioned comfort and on a breeze-kissed outdoor oceanfront patio.
Executive Chef David Smith has recently transformed the restaurant into a true epicurean experience, using local, organically grown produce and fresh native seafood. His signature Ceviche is receiving raves all along the Gold Coast, along with other unique favorites such as Coconut-Crusted Dorado (Mahi Mahi) with Guanabana Salsa (Jack Fruit), Yellow-Fin Tuna with a Soy Ginger Sauce, Palmito Au Gratin, and his to-die-for Mandarin Eggs Benedict for Sunday Brunch. Among his delectable desserts is the resort's award-winning Golden Costa Rican Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Under Chef David’s demanding standards, Arenas’ weekly variety of International Buffets, offer a wide range of culinary delights to please any palate.
Arenas Restaurant is 100% Kid Friendly too; you can always such favorites as Hamburgers, Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, French Fries, Tacos, and Spaghetti for those less discriminating, but hungry little diners!
Arenas serves Breakfast 6:30am - 10:30am / Lunch from 12:00pm - 4:00pm / Dinner from 6:00pm - 9:30pm, 365 days a year.
- The Sunset Lounge rooftop bar features panoramic views of the resort and the Pacific Ocean. An exquisite venue for wedding receptions and other celebrations. Enjoy delicious drinks and tantalizing light fare from 3:00pm - 10:00pm Sunday through Thursday; Friday and Saturday from 3:00pm - 12:00am. Featuring a variety of live musical entertainment (schedule varies).
- Magallanes Pool Bar, our famous swim-up bar where you can eat and drink wet or dry, serves refreshing cocktails and lunch or light fare daily in a casual, relaxed setting. Open from 10:00am - 6:00pm. Serves the world’s best award-winning fruit smoothies…try a Guanabana or Mora frozen smoothie and you may never want to leave!!
- Room Service, providing in-room dining from 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Outside the resort, there is a number of dining options nearby. Within walking distance, you'll find such popular casual venues as Marie's Restaurant and the Mariner's Inn Bar; and the more upscale Angelina's and Mar y Sol featuring international gourmet cuisine. Slightly further away, toward Playa Potrero, you will find Restaurant Pleamar and Restaurant Estero Azul for local fare and fresh local fish. In nearby Brasilito, visitors and locals alike enjoy the Camaron Dorado, The Happy Snapper and Il Forno. Taxis are easily available from the resort.
