This beautiful golf course opened for play in February 2001.  It was designed by Mike Young and is a wonderful test of golf.  Hacienda Pinilla provides players with a chance to play golf as it was meant to be played, peacefully amongst friends and nature.  The golf course was designed to conform to its natural surroundings, capturing the feel of a Guanacaste ranch on the ocean. 

While the driving areas are very friendly, the greens and their surroundings are very challenging.  Accurate iron play is the key to getting around this golf course, but the length will put you to the test.  You will find that the greens are very well guarded and are amongst the best in Costa Rica. 

Here, golfers have a course that offers picturesque scenery, immaculate conditions, frequent glimpses of exotic wildlife and a place you can call home.  Courses like this are commonly called “Championship Layouts”.  This means that our course can challenge golfers of any skill level.  Our course is very natural and has the same rustic feel of Guanacaste.  Two of our holes, 14 and 15, are ocean view.  The 15th hole is one of the most beautiful holes in Latin America. 

The golf course is known and respected for superior playing conditions and are often praised for having spectacular greens.  Although we are proud of this, we are constantly trying to improve.  We want this to continue to be one of the finest courses in Latin America.
