Optional Tour Descriptions:
Palo Verde National Park & Liberia Shopping Tour
This vast park protects the lower Tempisque River Basin, a series
of seasonal marshes providing ideal conditions for an incredible
array of waterfowl. A two-hour boat ride on the Tempisque - Costa
Rica's biggest river - is a rewarding experience for anyone interested
in nature. The park's main lagoon attracts the largest concentrations
of waterfowl and wading birds in all of Central America, making it a
bird-watcher's heaven. Also, the surrounding tropical dry forest is
home to everything from monkeys to scarlet macaws. In the
afternoon, you'll visit Liberia, the capital of the province. This
is a bustling town with an interesting blend of modern and colonial
architecture. You'll see the adobe- and tile-roof houses built more
than 200 years ago, as well as the mission and the gallery of pre-
Columbian art. On the way back to the hotel, you'll also stop by
the local souvenir shop at Guardia - where excellent Costa Rican
arts and hand-crafted goods fashioned from pottery and wood are
featured.
Length of tour: Full day
Includes: Air-conditioned transportation, bilingual guide, soft drinks, entrance to the park, and lunch
Guaitil Artisans & Santa Cruz, Guanacaste
Driving through small villages and cattle ranches, you'll arrive at
the small town of Guatil, known for its lovely handcrafted pottery, which
consists of replicas of ceremonial, pre-Columbian objects. You'll
then visit the town of Santa Cruz - Costa Rica's folkloric town -
with its historic church, plaza, and other landmarks.
Length of tour: Half day
Includes: Transportation on air-conditioned vehicles, bilingual tour guide, and soft drinks
Turtle Nesting Nature Night Tour
Available only from November to February
This unforgettable adventure allows you to witness the nesting ritual
of one of the largest reptiles on Earth. These massive turtles drag
themselves up onto the beach to lay their eggs at the same site their
ancestors have used for countless generations. This highly educational
and rewarding tour is ideal for the whole family. Space is limited.
What to bring: Insect repellent, comfortable shoes, or sandals.
Length of tour: Half day
Includes: Air-conditioned transportation, bilingual guide, and park entrance fee
Please note - The duration and availability of turtle nesting tours
depends upon the turtles, ocean tides, and the moon. These tours have
certain limitations due to park rules
The Best 4X4 Tour By Far
This thrilling four-wheel-drive adventure goes far off the beaten path
and deep into the Costa Rican countryside, where spectacular landscapes
and traditional culture await discovery. Before beginning the off-road
expedition, we'll brief you about the route and the different conditions
you might encounter. Once participants have been assigned to their 4x4
vehicles, the group sets off - guided by an experienced, bilingual driver
who takes the convoy through back roads. Here, the scenery and lives
of rural Costa Ricans have barely changed over the years. Afterwards, the
convoy heads for the beach, passing through very rough terrain. There
are many photo opportunities at panoramic locations, and monkeys and
other animals are easy to spot along the way.
Length of tour: Half day
Includes: Four-wheel-drive vehicle shared with other participants, plus tour guide and soft drinks
Canopy Tour Adventure Tour
Check out the tropical dry forest in the Guanacaste countryside for a
full-time blast of adrenaline. The complete tour lasts approximately
three hours, and consists of flying through the treetops between
suspended platforms connected with steel cables.
Length of tour: Half day.
Includes: Bilingual guide, air conditioned transportation, and entrance fee
Please note: Since the canopy tour is based on natural resources, there
is no insurance to cover the client in case of an accident. The client
assumes responsibility.
Corobici River Float
The Corobici River flows from Lake Arenal, at the base of the active
Arenal Volcano, westward through the Pacific lowlands and into the
ocean. A float down the Corobici is a unique opportunity for nature
lovers, especially bird watchers, as it passes near Palo Verde
National Park - home to many different species of birds, iguanas, and
noisy howler monkeys, which can be seen along the banks of the river. This
tour is a great experience for the entire family.
Length of tour: Full day
Includes: Air-conditioned transportation, bilingual tour guide, soft drinks, and lunch
CRT Guanacaste Experience
Visit the transitional tropical forest, near the Rincon de la Vieja
National Park. Along the way, you'll travel through a dramatic route
across the Guanacaste Mountain Range, through small villages and
cattle ranches. You can experience the therapeutic properties of the
famous mineral mud and warm waters of the natural hot springs while
marveling at lush tropical scenery.
Length of tour: Full day
Includes: Air-conditioned transportation, bilingual guide, entrance fees (mud bath, horseback riding, and spring waterfalls), and lunch
Sunset & Snorkeling
The Catalina Islands, boasting Sugar and Potrero beaches, is the
destination of this coastal cruise. Spend the day enjoying soft
ocean breezes, enchanting blue skies, rustling palm fronds, warm
sand, and the rhythmic crashing of the surf. You'll be taken to
the Flamingo Marina to board your vessel and cruise around Brasilito
and Potrero Bays, Conchal Beach, and the Catalina Islands. You'll
then anchor near a beautiful beach where you can collect shells, sunbathe
in the gentle afternoon sun, or swim in crystal-clear waters. Refreshments
and tropical fruit are served. As you cruise back the sunset explodes
before you, ensuring one of the most unforgettable experiences of
your life.
Length of tour: Half day
Includes: Air-conditioned transportation, soft drinks, fruits, and bilingual crew
Diving
A fantastic diversity of tropical marine life, warm water, and excellent
visibility can be found at a fine selection of dive sites on the Pacific
waters. One site is the Catalina Islands, a small cluster of rocky
outcroppings off the Pacific coast. Here, divers will find a large
population of white-tip reef sharks and lots of rays - including
bat, eagle, cownose, and manta. Another dive site in the area is
near the Bat Islands, a string of offshore rocky islets populated
by friendly Pacific Bull sharks.
Length of tour: Half day
Tamarindo Mangroves & Estuary
Tamarindo Wildlife Refuge protects a large estuary, mangrove forest, and
tropical dry forest in an area covering nearly 1,000 acres. The boat
trip into the estuary offers an opportunity to observe rare and abundant
wildlife - including dozens of bird species and three species of monkeys.
Length of tour: Half day
Includes: Transportation, bilingual guide, and entrance fee.
Please note: The duration and availability of mangrove tours depend upon the ocean tides and moon.
Horseback Riding Tour
Explore the beauty of the Guanacaste countryside like an authentic
"Sabanero," as Costa Rican cowboys are called. The trails slice through
patches of tropical dry forest - home to iguanas, monkeys, and an array
of bird species. All horses are well trained, and saddles and equipment
are professionally maintained.
Length of tour: Half day
Includes: Air-conditioned transportation, bilingual tour guide, soft drinks, and riding master.
Arenal Volcano National Park (Hot Springs & Rain Forest)

by the impressive cone of Arenal Volcano, famous for its incredible
eruptions of lava streams and incandescent rock explosions. This is an
unforgettable natural fireworks display. You'll then visit the local
hot springs, which boast lush tropical gardens and natural steam, the
ideal setting for dinner and observing the volcano. The Flamingo
Resort offers dozens of pools and hot mineral springs, providing a
unique, unparalleled tropical experience. In addition, the river

forest entry fee, lunch, entrance fee to hot springs, and dinner.

local hot springs, which boast lush tropical gardens and the most
soothing mineral pools in the world. After sunset, you'll enjoy a
dinner observing the active volcano. There are more than 10 pools
and several hot mineral springs, providing a truly memorable
experience, where the water temperatures reach up to 120 degrees F. On
the following day, you'll arrive at the doorstep of the incredible
cloud forest at Monteverde, one of Costa Rica's most scenic spots. Your
visit includes a walk on hanging bridges, giving you the opportunity
